OLRG Councillors

At the May 2024 elections, all eight of OLRG's candidates were elected to Tandridge District Council with very large majorities.

Claire Blackwell and Ian Booth were re-elected for Limpsfield ward. Peter Damesick and Catherine Sayer were re-elected for Oxted North together with new councillor Chris Bassett. Bryan Black, Chris Langton and Deb Shiner were all re-elected for Oxted South.

Twelve allied residents candidates were also elected around the District which means we have increased our total number of councillors to 20 from 18 and can continue as the administration, though still as a minority one because 22 councillors are needed for an overall majority.

The political balance of the Council is 20 Residents’ Alliance, 11 Liberal Democrats, 7 Conservative and 5 Independent Group councillors. The political balance before the election was 18 Residents’ Alliance, 11 Liberal Democrats, 9 Conservatives and 4 Independent Group councillors.

Catherine continues as leader of the council and Chris Farr (Godstone Residents) as deputy leader.
