Developers Horizon Cremation have now submitted a planning application to build a crematorium in Oxted. The location is a field at the junction of Barrow Green Road and the A25.
There are major issues regarding the proposal such as the impact of the development on the Green Belt and on views into the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Also, the impact on highway safety given the large number of quarry HGVs using Barrow Green Road. The proposed access is off Barrow Green Road.
