If you are a school, Parish Council, charity or formal community group who own or have a formal lease agreement on land and you are interested in receiving free trees to plant, please contact Surrey County Council at trees@surreycc.gov.uk
Through the benefit of last year’s successful Forestry Commission’s Treescapes fund (for details click here ) the County Council were able to work with schools, Parish Councils, partners and community groups to deliver the planting of over 30,000 new trees across Surrey.
SCC have applied for another round of funding this year. They say: "although we await the outcome of the bid, we would like to reach out to those of you who may wish to deliver tree planting projects on your land. Working with our partners is a core part of Surrey’s Tree Strategy, so we hope you would consider being involved next planting season. We can offer support, volunteers and advice. Our timescale to plant will be early in this planting season this winter.
If you need more information or have questions, please do get in touch as we would be delighted to work with you on this green initiative working towards Surrey’s greener future.”
