Natural England have now published their consultation report on a new extended boundary for the Surrey Hills National Landscape (formerly the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The boundary variation consultation ran from 7th March to 13th June 2023.
This project is an opportunity to extend the Surrey Hills National Landscape boundary – which has not been reviewed since its initial designation as an AONB in 1958.
There are new areas proposed for inclusion in Oxted and in Limpsfield.

The areas relating to Limpsfield and Oxted are listed under Limpsfield and Godstone Hills. Other areas relating to Tandridge District are listed under Happy Valley, Caterham Woods and Woldingham Valleys.
There is a 12 week consultation on the new additions to the proposed boundary running from 17 September to 10 December.
