Government Restart Grant for businesses

Restart grants are now available for non-essential retail, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses which were allowed to reopen from 12 April 2021. As before, the amount of grant depends on the business type and its rateable value:

Non-essential Retail
• £2,667 grant for eligible businesses with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on 1 April 2021.
• £4,000 grant for eligible businesses with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on 1 April 2021.
• £6,000 grant for eligible businesses with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over on 1 April 2021.

Hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises
• £8,000 grant for eligible businesses with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under on 1 April 2021.
• £12,000 grant for eligible businesses with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 on 1 April 2021.
• £18,000 grant for eligible businesses with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over on 1 April 2021.

The closing date for applications is 30 June 2021 and final payments must be made by 31 July 2021.
