CCTV consultation - have your say

Oxted Parish Council and Limpsfield Parish Council are holding a consultation about the installation of CCTV cameras in Oxted and Hurst Green.

They have set up a short survey click here to gather residents’ views. The plan is to install CCTV first in Station Road East and West, with the shops in Hurst Green and Master Park following on as two subsequent phases.

Cameras have already been trialled with a view to installing permanent CCTV as a deterrent to crime and anti-social behaviour - in June this year, the police had to use dispersal orders in Oxted town centre to combat ASB, crime and disorder.

This is a joint project backed by the two Parish Councils, Tandridge District Council, Oxted BID (Business Improvement District) and the Master Park Trustees. Oxted Parish Council is kindly considering providing the bulk of the funding with contributions from the BID and Limpsfield Parish Council.

You can take part in the consultation by clicking on the survey click here

The consultation runs until 7 January 2022.
